Ottery St Mary
Ottery St Mary
We are in need of new committee members. Our committee are responsible for the organisation of the pre-school by means of supporting our staff, and play a key role in fundraising! The committee are crucial, as without them, the pre-school would close. We meet approximately once every half term for a couple of hours in the evening. You don't have to be a parent (although we do have to have a certain percentage of our committee who ARE parents), but just your enthusiasm is sufficient qualification to get you through the door!!
Please contact any member of staff, or give us a ring for further details.
Welcome to Busy Otters!!
Busy Otters is a committee run group that was first registered in 1987. In 2011 we moved to a new purpose built building attached to Ottery St Mary Primary School.
Busy Otters is a vibrant, fun and nurturing pre-school at the very heart of the Ottery St Mary community. With an excellent prime position next to the popular primary school and wonderful, purpose-built modern facilities, we warmly welcome children from the term after they turn two and a half. (this includes if you qualify for 2 Year Old Funding.)
We believe that every child is unique and in these important formative years it is our aim to provide a wide range of activities and experiences to help your child develop to the best of their ability and to provide a happy, safe and secure environment.

What was Busy Otters’ latest Ofsted report like?
In June 2015, Busy Otters was inspected by the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted). The inspector found : "The overall effectiveness of the early years provision was Good". We are very pleased with our judgement, and reading the report will give a clear indication of the strengths of our setting.
A full copy of the Inspection Report can be viewed online at www.ofsted.gov.uk. In the search box, just type in Busy Otters Pre-School Playgroup, or our URN is EY421724.
